ACADEMY 1 SPORTS – AVELEY
Our partnership with Aveley is very beneficial as it allows us to show clear player pathways from the Aveley College Programme to the Aveley U18’s Team to the Aveley Reserve Team and finally into the Aveley First Team.
From the College Programme, we have 6 students who are signed for the U18’s, we have 5 students who are signed for the reserves and 2 who are signed for the First Team. We have 2 staff who are coaches for the U18’s, 2 staff who are managers of the reserve side and 1 staff member who coaches for the first team. So there are strong relationships between the teams.
Aveley academy developing students both on and off the pitch. Our elite football and education programme is tailored to developing students for 3 possible pathways in the sports industry in an outstanding facility at Aveley Football Club.
For the game
Elite coaching from expert coaches develops players for the game both within our first team at Aveley and for all levels of the game. We pride ourselves on high standards, expert feedback and individual coaching to help all students on the programme.
In the game
Students develop key skills needed to work in the game. Students have access to expert guest speakers, video analysis, fitness data, experience in professional clubs/ facilities, using first aid treatments common in sports whilst developing key technical and transferable coaching skills.
Around the game
Our courses develop and enthuse students to become passionate about all sports and competition. We develop transferable skills for students to work in the sports industry. The level 3 qualification is the equivalent of 3 A levels and provides students with options both to progress to university or work in sport, fitness and leisure.
